WiFi Clone – Brief definition

A new devolo WiFi product has its own secure WiFi network after installation. If you do not want to use multiple WiFi networks and prefer to continue using your existing WiFi network, you can use WiFi Clone.

With WiFi Clone, you can easily transfer the WiFi access data of an existing WiFi Access Point (e.g., your WiFi router) at the push of a button.

Here's how to use WiFi Clone

1. Plug the devolo WiFi device into a free wall socket. The wall socket should be no more than ten meters away from the router.

2. Start the devolo Cockpit. If you have not yet installed the software on your PC/laptop, you can download it here.

3. Move the mouse pointer over the arrow on the right side of the adapter to view the options.

4. By clicking on the arrow with the gear icon, you will access the device configuration page, which is the web browser-based configuration interface of the adapter. Then, select WiFi configuration.

5. With a click on WiFi Move, you will be directed to the WiFi Move Technology Settings page.

6. Select under WiFi Clone the setting Start Configuration .

7. Wait until the encryption button on the devolo WiFi product blinks white.

8. Press the WPS button on the router to copy the WiFi credentials (SSID and WiFi password) to the devolo product.
