Multi-User MIMO – Brief Definition

With Multi-User MIMO (Multi-User Multiple Input Multiple Output), multiple devices in the network are supplied with data streams simultaneously. This allows various devices to benefit from maximum WiFi capacity at the same time, significantly enhancing the efficiency of the home network.

In general, multiple devices, such as smartphones, tablets, and laptops, are used in WiFi networks. This poses a challenge for home networks – it must manage the distribution of data streams from the WiFi access point (e.g., devolo adapter) to the devices. With Multi-User MIMO, this is not a problem.

What is Multi-User MIMO?

Multi-User MIMO (Multi-User Multiple Input Multiple Output) enables the parallel use of WiFi. Here, the Access Point can communicate with multiple connected devices over several streams, instead of just one as in Single-User MIMO. This allows all end devices to be supplied with maximum WiFi capacity simultaneously.

Long wait times in online gaming, sporadic interruptions during HD streaming, or low download speeds are now a thing of the past.
