New devolo Ethernet switches: hubs for a fast home network

devolo Ethernet Switch 8 Port and devolo Ethernet Switch 16 Port

The devolo Ethernet switches provide a wired internet connection for many devices with eight or 16 LAN ports, respectively. Both switches support current IEEE802.3 standards for data transmission of up to 1 gigabit per second. These standards also include IEEE802.3az, which automatically puts compatible devices into a power-saving mode during periods of low data transmission. This makes the home network faster and more energy-efficient with devolo switches.

Both models are also optimized for maximum compatibility. This is evident, for example, in their support for both half- and full-duplex operations. The switches can send and receive data simultaneously in full-duplex mode while still being fully compatible with devices that only support half-duplex. This offers flexibility and makes integration into existing home networks particularly easy.

Both models, as unmanaged switches, require no configuration and ensure the best possible data flow through modern network features. These features include automatic negotiation of the best connection settings (Auto Negotiation), automatic detection of cable connections (Auto MDI/MDIX), and integrated data packet verification (Store and Forward).

No special technical knowledge is required for the installation and operation of the devolo Ethernet switches.
