What is dLAN®? Ethernet Over Mains
dLAN® – home networking made simple.
Does your home have thick walls? Is your Internet connection in the basement with the signal unable to reach up to the attic or upper floors? Do you want to be able to surf the Internet quickly without connection problems? Experience full signal strength in every room in your home with dLAN® technology from devolo.
dLAN® technology (direct Local Area Network) uses existing power cables in your home to transmit ethernet over mains electricity at speeds of up to 1200 Mbps, providing a high-speed network with AES encryption without having to lay a single cable. It connects all network-compatible devices to the Internet, optionally via LAN or WiFi.
dLAN® adapters have the advantage of providing high transmission quality. Connection speeds stay at the same high level, even at cable lengths of 300 metres.
dLAN® Powerline adapter
devolo dLAN® Powerline adapters are easy and ready to use in moments. Connect one devolo dLAN® Powerline adapter to your router and to a standard electrical socket in your house. The signal is sent over the electrical wiring to another dLAN® Powerline adapter at a different socket where you can conveniently connect your network-compatible devices (computers, laptops, smart TVs) using standard LAN cables.
dLAN® WiFi adapters
dLAN® WiFi adapters are just as easy to get working and have the great advantage of also passing on your Internet signal to terminal devices like smartphones and tablets using WiFi. You set up devolo dLAN® WiFi adapters the same way, by connecting them to your router and to a common electrical socket in your home. The signal is sent over the electrical wiring to another dLAN® WiFi adapter at another socket that emits the signal wirelessly for your WiFi-capable devices. This lets you conveniently surf on your smartphone, tablet or laptop in any room.
The WiFi Repeater from devolo also installs quickly and easily at any common electrical socket in your home and doesn't need any further connection to your router. The range of your existing WiFi network increases immediately once you plug the WiFi Repeater into an electrical socket. An integrated LAN port lets you connect additional devices (such as a smart TV).
dLAN® - Your home network of the future.
The dLAN® products distribute the Internet signal from your Internet router to any room desired over the power line and transmit the signal via LAN or WiFi to your network-capable terminal devices.
