devolo AG of Aachen, Germany is extending the warranty period on all of its MicroLink modems and network components to three years. Telephone support is also being extended: The hotline is now available weekdays from 10 a.m. until 8 p.m.

The devolo AG of Aachen, Germany now provides all of its MicroLink modems and network components with a three-year warranty and thus exceeds the legal requirement for a warranty period of two years. “We are perfectly happy to take this step in view of our product reliability, the result of rigorous German quality assurance”, emphasised devolo’s CEO Heiko Harbers. Even if problems arise after the warranty’s expiry, the company offers a repair service based on fixed prices.

Telephone support is also being extended, as the two hotlines are now available weekdays from 10 a.m. until 8 p.m. Harbers: “This is specifically intended to extend our support into the early evening”. Apart from a 0180 service number backed up by experts competent in questions about initial installation, configuration, service and warranty issues, the Aachen-based hardware specialist also offers an additional technical hotline subject to a surcharge. Customers will get help about specific problems with their PCs, such as when they have problems with MS Windows. “The level of support required has been very low until now”, reports Heiko Harbers, who sees this as proof of the user-friendliness and quality of his company’s products.
