Plug In… to your home network with devolo HomePlug

devolo UK has launched a range of home networking products that allow PCs to be connected over the domestic electricity circuit.

The devolo MicroLink dLAN® Starter Kit includes 2x HomePlug Ethernet adapters which help provide and extend Internet access and data transfer into any room over your existing household power supply.

The HomePlug technology based adapters allow you to transform your in-house mains power circuit into a reliable and stable home networking infrastructure, using only your existing electrical wiring. It’s ideal for any home PC or Apple Macintosh user wanting to extend their broadband Internet connection, make an internal network, or even connect a games console without the need for expensive and messy cabling. The flexibility and immediate portability of the MicroLink dLAN® Ethernet adapters provides easy network connectivity to any PC, ADSL modem router, games console or other Ethernet enabled device.

Installation is exceptionally easy for first time users and allows home networkers to instantly connect computers and games consoles throughout the house, simply by connecting one of the adapters to a device’s Ethernet socket, and then directly plugging into a 3-pin power socket. “Old houses, thick walls, and multi-floors are ideal environments for using HomePlug technology, as these are problem areas for typical WLAN devices as they often confront varying signal fluctuations with consequent disappointing results.
