More and more consumer electronics products are equipped these days with network interfaces and offer extensive streaming functions. Put together, they result in a high-performance media network that offers a plethora of functionality: Internet radio, videos from the Internet or from a NAS hard drive — media streaming is ubiquitous. Since 2003 there has been an international organization of renowned manufacturers in the segments of computers and consumer electronics. It goes by the name of Digital Living Network Alliance (DLNA). An ever increasing number of products, from AV receivers to LCD televisions, supports the DLNA standard, which makes interoperability easy, thus simplifying the operation of the individual media devices.

dLAN® provides the perfect backbone because it networks the individual devices throughout the building quickly and easily via the existing electrical wiring.
